Videogame developer Capcom has officially launched the next iteration of its wildly successful fighting series.
The teaser trailer is a bit short (at just 40 seconds long) and shows longtime SF character Ryu apparently preparing to duke it out with newcomer Luke. The video shows off new graphical upgrades, and at this point it isn’t clear on whether Capcom will be adopting this hyper-realistic game engine. Another notable mention is the new logo for SF6.
Capcom promises more details and information about Street Fighter 6 soon, although it’s expected that it won’t be until early June.
The announcement came after the last match of the Capcom Pro Tour 2021 Season Final, which saw the best fighters going head to head in first to five win matches. Along with the announcement it was revealed that Yusuke Hashimoto of Bayonetta 2 fame will be tasked to be a lead game designer in the project.
