YouTuber creator Zack Nelson recently showed a video of him breaking the recently-released OnePlus 10 Pro.
The smartphone was put through its paces, and at the 6:57 mark on the video the 10 Pro apparently broke in half, particularly the upper side and above the battery. While initially the back glass started to exhibit cracks when pressure was applied, it graduated to a full break and caused the top to fold over to the bottom part of the phone.
Nelson then tore the half cleanly and examined the inside, which revealed a thin metal exterior. It’s worthy to note that the force applied isn’t normally done in most user conditions, and as such it’s not recommended that viewers and phone owners try it at home.
OnePlus has not responded to the video, and it’s unsure if they will make a public announcement or say that there will be structural changes following the incident.
