Powertrain and Numbers
The F150 Lightning offers you two powertrains. The first one is a 98kWh battery pack and motor setup that produces 452 horsepower. If you want something more powerful then you can get the 131kWh battery setup. This produces around 580 horsepower.
Those were the two different horsepower variations. As far as the torque is concerned, both the setups provide you with at least 775 lb-ft. This is a good figure for an electric truck. Also, the power and torque are sent to all 4 wheels. The Lightning is super quick at 4.5 seconds from 0 to 62 mph.
The range on these trucks varies based on the battery pack and the trim you choose. The basic truck will provide you with 230 miles. The extended range is around 320 miles. Meanwhile the top trim will give you a range of 300 miles. These are decent numbers when you look at the size of the truck.
Now that was the fuel economy, which most truck buyers don’t even look at. So, how much of a pickup truck is it exactly? Well, the maximum payload that you can manage on this truck is around 2235 lbs., the towing capacity is maxed out at 10k lbs.

Interior and Technology
Obviously, the F150 Lightning has a cabin that has been designed to not just look good, but also for practicality. It is very spacious as well, being able to provide the passengers with enough headroom and legroom. If you want complete plushness, then you should get the leather seats.

Now we know how well the regular F150 truck is priced at the base model. The Lightning on the other hand is a lot more expensive. The truck starts out at around $39k and the amount becomes more than double that once you get to the top trim.

The F150 Lightning is overbooked. Now, it’s not perfect but it is splendid. It clearly seems like Ford is appealing to young kids at this point. The truck is quick, has a decent range, and it has a lot of safety offerings. The only downside to this is the price but you do get $7500 in tax credit.
