This article will take a closer look at the company, focusing on GET Group’s expansive portfolio of public infrastructure projects.
Headquartered in Doha, Qatar, GET Group was established in 2008. Today, the organization employs 2,345 professionals across its regional offices, with the company currently engaged in various ongoing projects across Greece, Lebanon, Qatar, and Oman.
Public projects completed by GET Group and Kristian Comair include the development of Tanios Hotel, a property located on Mount Lebanon, with the project taking three years to complete and spanning a total built-up area in excess of 38,600 square meters. This ambiguous design and build project saw the creation of a five-star hotel spanning 10 floors and three basements. Comprising 159 guest rooms, Tanios Hotel also incorporates nine shops, three cinemas, two restaurants, a main dining hall, a ceremonies hall, and a gym with a pool. The development also features meticulously maintained landscaped gardens, as well as internal green spaces.
Another successfully completed design and build project undertaken by GET Group was Al Wakra Hotels in Al Wakra, Qatar. The development project spanned 31 months, covering a vast 30,200-square-meter area, culminating in the creation of two main hotel buildings along with an array of ancillary infrastructure and utilities. The aim of the project was to create a duo of luxury hotels by renovating part of the heritage houses of Al Wakra village, transforming existing buildings into two five-star hotels while preserving the heritage theme of the original structures. GET Group strived to use as much as possible from the original buildings, converting them into hotel rooms alongside all the other functional spaces associated with five-star hospitality. Incorporating 101 guest rooms and junior suites, the property also features a spa and fitness center.
GET Group was proud to lead a hospital development project in Mount Lebanon in an ambitious design and build project spanning 30 months. Covering a total built area of 17,200 square meters, the hospital features operation rooms, patient rooms, laboratories, and external clinics.
Ghosta Monastery is another project successfully completed by GET Group, extending an existing church on Mount Lebanon into a monastery. Covering a footprint of 60,000 square meters, the development included construction of a ground floor and basement, along with three additional floors of bedrooms. GET Group also built a library, dining room, offices, social halls, a store, and a multifunctional hall.
